We will have sculpture as well as pastel in the first of part of the week. The student workshop will work in various areas around Eureka and will be based out of The Front Porch Coffee House in downtown Eureka.

This opportunity is a unique experience for the art student. The foundation has been working toward including the student artist into their program for 2 years. We are very pleased to bring this opportunity to art students. The SKB foundation is making this opportunity available to 15 selected students. The cost of $250 each student will pay will help offset the $650 total cost fees. The student's fees will cover all instruction and some meals with a several meals not included. The coffeehouse that will serve as our base for the foundation classes and field work will take place outdoors around Eureka.

The student must specify as soon a possible if they wish to return for 2007 and accept a scholarship. This year's group of students will be smaller than last year's due to move to Eureka for 2007. We expect our number to be limited to15 for 2007, so quick responses will be needed to secure your space We need to assess how many possible open spots we will have for this summer's dates.

New students applying this year will need to be recommended by a former Montana Art student, an art instructor or a working artist know to Montana Art Workshops or Susan K Black Foundation. If you have a recommendation you would like to make for a new student please contact me.

Two-college credit will be available again this year. Anyone attending previously will be able to apply for the credit again as the course changes names every year. MSU Northern will be our granting Institution again this year; the credit is transferable as elective credit. The University does charge a fee of $100-$125 for the 2 credits.

We will have our usual 2 instructors for you to work with, Wanda Mumm and Mark Kelso, for the first part of the week. The students will be responsible for paying the balance after the SKB scholarship of $250 and will also need to arrange for transportation to the Eureka, Montana location.
